What we can do about the Coronavirus:

First, let’s look at what it is:

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). The current coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people.  Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and death.

Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing and especially fever.

Private Label Skincare Florida has come up with the perfect alternative to the standard “Hand Sanitizers” on the market.  Those contain alcohol, and other harsh chemicals, which have many side effects if gotten into children’s eyes and open wounds. We do not make “Hand Sanitizers,” we make a combination of healthy ingredients that help boost the immune system.

The base is Aloe Vera Gel

Antioxidants are important for health.

Aloe Vera gel contains powerful antioxidants, which belong to a large family of substances known as polyphenols.

These polyphenols, along with several other compounds in Aloe Vera, have been found to inhibit the growth of certain bacteria that can cause infections in humans.

Witch hazel

Witch Hazel is a natural remedy made from the bark and leaves of a plant called Hamamelis virginiana. Long used in traditional medicine, witch hazel is usually applied topically in order to treat certain skin conditions.

Witch hazel contains tannins, a type of natural compound with astringent effects. By acting as an astringent, witch hazel helps to constrict skin tissue.

Witch hazel has been used for ages on a wide range of skin troubles, such as acne, bruises, burns, hemorrhoids, inflammation, insect bites, itching, pain, and varicose veins.

Oregano

But does oil of oregano really work?

Most claims around oregano oil are based on research into its key component, carvacrol. And most of that research has been done in the lab, where yes, carvacrol has been found to kill bacteria and viruses..  “The fact that you can take oil of oregano and [carvacrol] has killed some bacteria or viruses in a petri dish has very little meaning for humans,” says Joe Schwarcz, a professor of chemistry at McGill University. “The human body is not one big test tube.” We just don’t know how much oil of oregano is absorbed into the bloodstream after ingestion, or how much is required to see benefits.  So, we use it on the skin!  Like the petri dish idea.

Neroli

Neroli essential oil is a type of essential oil long used in aromatherapy. Sourced from the flowers of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium), neroli essential oil is said to offer a variety of benefits for mental and physical health.

Tea tree oil is available as an oil and in many over-the-counter skin products, including soaps and lotions. However, tea tree oil should not be taken orally. If swallowed, it can cause serious symptoms.
